Main Assembly FAQ

Welcome to the Main Assembly FAQ!  You'll find many of the answers to your questions below, and will keep this as up-to-date as possible!

When does Main Assembly launch?
The game will be launching in Early Access in 2020.

How long does the Beta run for?
The beta will run till the 2nd of January.

What platforms can I play Main Assembly on? 
At the moment, you only be able to play on Steam.

What kind of game is Main Assembly?
Build machines to overcome a variety of challenges, explore sandbox environments and generally try not to explode by yourself or with friends!

Can I use my controllers for the game?
At the moment, no controllers are supported.

Can I play Main Assembly in multiplayer?
Yes! You will be able to play Main Assembly in multiplayer.

What languages are supported in Main Assembly?

In Beta, we are only supporting English. However, this will change during Early Access and for full release.

What are the system requirements on PC for Main Assembly?

MINIMUM:

    • OS: WINDOWS® 7
    • Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-3570 or AMD equivalent
    • Memory: 8 GB RAM
    • Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 770 or AMD equivalent
    • Storage: 5 GB available space

 

RECOMMENDED:

    • OS: WINDOWS® 7
    • Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-4460 or AMD equivalent
    • Memory: 8 GB RAM
    • Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 970 or AMD equivalent
    • Storage: 5 GB available space

 

However, the system requirements are subject to change.

 

Known Issues for the Beta:

If you use the programming option in the "What I am?" tutorial level, you might fall off the map!

It is possible to destroy the Docking Station in the "What I Am" tutorial level, which will force a restart.

Using a controller is not fully supported.

You are able to use the respawn button in the "What Am I" tutorial level to delete the vehicle.
